Cold, it's just cold.
I prepare our menu plan on Thursday evening and shop on Friday. So our week starts on Friday.
Friday - Buffalo Chicken Strips and Tater Tots (for the kids) and leftovers (for me)
Saturday - Chicken Pot Pie
Sunday - Guiness Beef Stew
Monday - Corn Chowder w/ Kentucky Biscuits
Tuesday - Taco Potatoes - I just brown some ground beef, add a packet of taco seasoning, bake some potatoes, shred lettuce, cube avocados and set out shredded cheese. We then have a make your own taco potato bar.
Wednesday - Italian Beef (leftover stored in the freezer)
Thursday - BLT Salad
Friday - Crockpot Cashew Chicken and Rice
What do you have planned this week??

Day 5 and 6 - 365Challenge Quilt
Okay, I may have cheated a little to get these blocks done. I actually completed them on Tuesday. I knew we were going out for dinner on Wednesday evening and with music lessons, homework and sports. I was not sure I would get to make it to my sewing room.
Day 5 (January 5) - Nine Patch
Day 6 (January 6) - Four Strips
These tiny blocks will come together with larger blocks to make a 90" x 90" square sampler quilt. I'm kinda excited to see it all come together!

Day 3 and 4 - 365Challenge Quilt
Day 3 and 4 blocks are complete. I looked at the Bonus Block and have decided to wait a few more days before I decide to tackle that one. Organizing and storing my blocks are going to be interesting. Right now, I'm stacking them with their directions. That's not going to last the further we get into the month/challenge.
Day 3 (January 3) - Red Cross
Not so bad so far. I'm also working on some projects that have been laying around for the past few years. I'm hoping to make a dent in those the first part of the year, so I am able to plan a few projects for the later part of the year.
Until tomorrow!!!

Am I Ready for this Challenge...
My Instagram feed has had quite a few 365 Challenge quilt blocks. I had no idea what it was, so I followed a link. I might just be crazy because I signed up. I'm already behind, but if I do 2 blocks a day this week, I will be caught up by early next week.
I printed off the first 12 days and made two blocks last night.
Day 1 (January 1) - Stripes
Day 2 (January 2) - Easy H
My plan is to not buy any fabric for this project. I have plenty and should have more than enough to complete this challenge. The part for me will be completing the challenge! We shall see how far I make it.
From the mouths of babes...T said to me last night as I was sewing and he was playing, "Mom, I think you are better at sewing than cooking." I asked, "Why do you say that?" His response, "You get to be way more creative with your sewing than you do with cooking. We only like certain things and we may not eat what you make."
